Dries Van Noten Fall 2010
Freud's great unanswered question, "What does a woman want?" seems to be hanging over this round of collections, and it's already turned up some funny, off-beam stabbings around in the dark. Funny, that is, because isn't it obvious? What we want is a casual way of dressing that's also formal enough, new yet not ridiculously gimmicky, confident yet not egregiously aggressive, traditional in a comfortable way, yet also fresh in such a manner that we feel compelled to buy it.
So, do you think that Dries Van Noten has made it? It is certainly a bit different than the summer collection, but i kind of like it!

Red Carpet Watcher
Red Carpet styles isn't my favorite source to get inspiration, but I am a girl, and as we all know; girls love to watch long gowns on the red carpet. Theres no other place where you can see so many different haute couture designs, and so many different designers in general, at one place.
So here are my favorites for this week.
Chronological from left to right:
1. Kate Moss in her own Topshop design. 2. Amber Valletta with Stella McCartney and Scarlett Johansson, in Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry, and all in dresses by the designer. 3. Charlotte Gainsbourg, in Balenciaga, with Yvan Attal. 4. Tom Ford with Paris Vogue's Carine Roitfeld.
5. Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany, both in Balenciaga. 6. Phillip Lim with Irina Lazareanu, in his design and Van Cleef & Arpels jewels. 7. Rolf Snoeren and Viktor Horsting with Shalom Harlow, in their design.
8. Mary-Kate Olsen. 9. Lily Donaldson, in Burberry and Lorraine Schwartz jewels, with Daria Werbowy, in Azzedine Alaïa.
